This project was truly special for RHA as it allowed our team to demonstrate the full breadth of our expertise, from bespoke joinery and cabinet making to innovative hard landscaping. The work encompassed both a full renovation of the original house and the construction of significant new extensions, making it a landmark project for our portfolio.

A Carefully Planned Renovation

The renovation of the main house was meticulously planned to allow the clients to continue living there with minimal disturbance. Our priority was ensuring the work progressed smoothly while maintaining a high standard of comfort for the residents. The renovation included transforming all the bedrooms into luxurious en-suite spaces, alongside a reimagined main living area. To achieve the desired open-plan aesthetic, we removed an adjoining bathroom and installed steelwork, creating a spacious and welcoming room perfect for entertaining.

In addition to the internal renovations, the house was given a new lease on life externally. A complete re-roofing project, along with an acrylic-rendered roughcast finish, gave the home a modern yet timeless appearance, blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Once the main house was nearly complete, we turned our attention to the creation of two generous extensions, along with the construction of a treble car garage. The first extension featured a contemporary open-plan kitchen and dining area, designed for both functionality and style. The second extension included a bedroom with Jack-and-Jill en-suites and walk-in wardrobes, offering a perfect balance of practicality and luxury.

A standout feature of the new extensions was the choice of materials. The exterior brickwork used Peterson Kolumba bricks imported from Denmark, adding a distinctive character to the design. The roofs were installed with living sedum to enhance eco-friendly credentials, while the zinc soffits and facias completed the sleek, modern aesthetic.

RHA’s landscaping expertise truly shone in this project. Our team designed the entrance walkways and gates in-house, complementing the modern architecture of the new extensions. The client requested a driveway that was both durable and aesthetically pleasing, so we used granite borders and kerbs to accentuate the clean lines of the new resin driveway, creating a polished and long-lasting finish.
